Have You Ever Been Captivated By Him?

If human affection does not elevate an individual beyond their own limitations, it cannot be considered love. If love is perpetually discreet, consistently intelligent, perpetually sensible, and methodically calculating, never transcending its own boundaries, it is not love whatsoever. It may be affection or emotional warmth, but it lacks the genuine essence of love. Have I ever been compelled to perform for God not out of obligation, utility, or any personal gain, but solely because of my love for Him?

Have I ever acknowledged that I can present to God matters of significance to Him, or am I merely contemplating the enormity of His Redemption while several actions remain available to me? Not divine, monumental occurrences that could be deemed extraordinary, but rather mundane, uncomplicated human experiences that will demonstrate to God my complete surrender to Him? Have I ever evoked in the heart of the Lord Jesus what Mary of Bethany evoked?

At times, it appears that God observes whether we will provide Him the forsaken signs of our sincere love for Him. Submission to God holds greater significance than individual sanctity. Personal holiness directs attention to our own purity; we are deeply preoccupied with our conduct, speech, and appearance, apprehensive of offending Him. Perfect love dispels all when we are wholly surrendered to God. We must eliminate the thought, "Am I of any utility?" By acknowledging our misconceptions, we may approach the truth. It is not a matter of utility, but of significance to God Himself. When we surrender to God, He continually operates through us.

Mark 14:6 (NIV) states: "Leave her alone," Jesus declared. What is the reason for your interference with her? She has performed a commendable act towards me. *

Envisioning a task for proper execution is appropriate; nevertheless, fantasizing about it when action is required is inappropriate. Following the profound statements made by our Lord to His followers, one might anticipate that He would instruct them to reflect about His teachings. However, our Lord did not permit such idle contemplation. Engaging in communion with God to discern His will is appropriate; but, indulging in idle daydreaming about tasks we have been instructed to undertake is detrimental and devoid of divine favor.

God's initiative inherently challenges such dreaming, urging us to "neither sit nor stand but proceed." If we are silently awaiting God's presence and He has instructed, “Come ye yourselves apart,” then this is meditation before God to discern His will; yet, one must be vigilant from succumbing to idle daydreaming once God has communicated. Allow Him to be the origin of all your aspirations and joys, and venture forth to adhere to His directives.

When in love, one does not merely fantasize about the beloved; rather, one takes action to demonstrate that love, which is the expectation set out by Jesus Christ. Dreaming subsequent to God's communication signifies a lack of trust in Him.

John 14:31 states:

*"So that the world may recognize my love for the Father; and as the Father has commanded me, I shall act accordingly."* “Let us depart.”*

Isaiah 60:-

We must initiate action as if there were no deity. Waiting for divine assistance is futile; but, upon taking action, we discover His presence. Divine inspiration invariably entails a moral initiative. We must act decisively and not deceive like a swine. If we rise and illuminate, toil is transformed into divine beauty.

Drudgery is one of the most significant indicators of character. Drudgery refers to labor that is starkly disconnected from ideals—mundane and sordid tasks. Upon encountering such employment, we immediately discern our spiritual authenticity. The Incarnate God is seen doing the humble task of washing fishermen's feet, and He proclaims, "If I, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet."

Divine inspiration is necessary to endure toil illuminated by God's presence. Certain individuals perform specific actions in a manner that sanctifies such actions permanently. Although it may be a mundane occurrence, witnessing it alters its significance. When the Lord accomplishes a task through us, He invariably transforms it. Our Lord became human flesh and transformed it, making it the temple of the Holy Spirit for every saint.

The disciples fell asleep when they ought to have remained vigilant, and upon realizing their error, they experienced despair. The perception of the irreparable often leads to despair, prompting us to declare, “It is all over now; further attempts are futile.” To perceive this form of despair as extraordinary is erroneous; it is, in fact, a commonplace human emotion. When we see that we have failed to seize a remarkable chance, we often descend into despair. In such moments, Jesus Christ reassures us, saying, “Rest now; that opportunity is irrevocably lost, and cannot be changed. Instead, rise and pursue the next endeavor.”

Allow the past to rest, but let it rest in the embrace of Christ, and advance into an unstoppable future with Him. Such encounters exist in everyone of our lives. We are engulfed in despair, a despair rooted in reality, and we are unable to extricate ourselves from it. The disciples had committed an egregious error by succumbing to sleep rather than being vigilant with Jesus. However, He approached them with a spiritual impetus to counter their despondency, instructing, “Arise and do the next thing.”

If we are divinely inspired, what follows? To place complete trust in Him and to pray based on His redemption. Do not allow the perception of failure to taint your subsequent endeavors.

If we were never to experience depression, we would not exist; it is inherent to a crystal to remain unperturbed. A human possesses the potential for depression; otherwise, the ability for exaltation would not exist. Certain factors are likely to induce despondency. Consider matters pertaining to mortality; when assessing oneself, consistently factor in the potential for despondency.

When the Spirit of God manifests, He does not bestow visions upon us. He instructs us to perform the most mundane tasks imaginable. Depression tends to divert us from the mundane aspects of God's creation; but, when God manifests, the impetus is to engage in the most natural and simple actions—those we would never have anticipated God’s presence in—and through these actions, we discover His presence. The inspiration we receive in this manner serves as a proactive measure against depression; we must proceed with the next task, guided by divine inspiration.

Engaging in an activity to combat depression may exacerbate the condition; yet, if the Spirit of God intuitively compels us to act, and we comply, the depression dissipates. Upon immediate compliance, we ascend to a superior level of existence.

If you have not previously employed your imagination to envision yourself before God, commence this practice immediately. Cease awaiting divine intervention; redirect your thoughts from idols and seek Him for salvation. Imagination is the most significant talent bestowed by God, and it should be wholly dedicated to Him.

If you have consistently subjected every thought to the obedience of Christ, it will serve as a significant asset to your faith during times of trial. Your faith, along with the Spirit of God and the natural phenomena—sunrises, sunsets, celestial bodies, and the changing seasons—will remain impervious to your impulses and will consistently be dedicated to the service of God.

“We have transgressed with our progenitor,…and have neglected” - then insert a stiletto in the location where you have slumbered. “God is currently not communicating with me,” yet He should be. Be cognizant of your location and your role. Stimulate your recall, and your devotion to God will amplify significantly; your imagination will flourish, becoming vibrant and fervent, and your hope will be really radiant.

Am I Obliged To Listen?

Exodus 20:19

We do not intentionally defy God; we merely fail to heed His guidance. God has provided us with His commands; nonetheless, we neglect them, not due to deliberate disobedience, but because we lack love and reverence for Him. “If you love Me, you will adhere to My commandments.” Upon recognizing our continuous "Disrespect" towards God, we are enveloped in guilt and humiliation for failing to heed His guidance.

“Converse with us, but do not allow God to communicate with us.” Our limited love for God is evidenced by our preference to heed only His servants. We appreciate personal testimonies, however we do not wish for God Himself to communicate with us. Why are we so apprehensive about the possibility of God communicating with us? We understand that if God communicates, either the action must be executed or we must inform God of our disobedience. If we only hear the servant's voice, we perceive it as non-essential, allowing us to respond, "That is merely your perspective, although I concede it may indeed reflect God's truth."

Am I placing God in the degrading position of having regarded me as His child while I have consistently disregarded Him? The. I perceive Him; the shame I inflicted upon Him is reflected back onto me—“Lord, why was I so obtuse and so stubborn?” This is invariably the outcome when we heed God's voice. The genuine pleasure of hearing Him is mitigated by the embarrassment of having taken so long to listen.

Songbirds are instructed to sing in darkness, while we are placed under the shadow of God's hand until we learn to perceive Him. "What I convey to you in obscurity" - when God places you in darkness, be silent during that time. Are you now experiencing uncertainty in your circumstances or in your relationship with God? Subsequently, maintain silence. Speaking in darkness may lead to inappropriate expressions; it is a time for attentive listening.

Avoid discussing it with others; refrain from reading literature to uncover the cause of the gloom, but instead, listen and take heed. Engaging in conversation with others inhibits your ability to perceive God's messages. In darkness, listen attentively; God will impart a valuable lesson for someone upon your emergence into the light.

Following each period of darkness, there emerges a blend of daylight and humiliation; if solely delight prevails, I ponder whether we have truly perceived God's voice. There is joy in receiving divine communication, however primarily, there is humiliation—how prolonged was my experience of this! How tardy I have been in comprehending it! Nevertheless, God has been conveying this message throughout these days and weeks. He now bestows upon you the gift of humiliation, which cultivates a tender heart that is perpetually receptive to God's voice.

The Commitment To Listening

1st Samuel 3:10

Having definitively heeded one directive from God does not imply that I will heed all of His utterances. I demonstrate my lack of love and respect for God through the insensitivity of my heart and mind to His words. When I love my buddy, I instinctively perceive his desires, and Jesus states, “You are my friends.” Have I contravened any directive from my Lord this week? Had I recognized it as an order from Jesus, I would not have willfully rebelled; but, many of us exhibit such disregard for God that we fail to perceive His words, as if He had never spoken at all.

The trajectory of my spiritual existence is characterized by a profound identification with Jesus Christ, enabling me to consistently perceive God's voice and to be assured of God's attentive response to me. If I am joined with Jesus Christ, I constantly perceive God through the practice of devotion. A lily, a tree, or a worker of God may communicate God's message to me. My inability to hear is impeded by my preoccupation with other matters. I am not unwilling to hear God; rather, I lack devotion in the appropriate context. I am committed to my pursuits, to service, to my beliefs, and although God may express His thoughts, I remain unresponsive to them.

The child's attitude is consistently, "Speak, Lord, for Your servant listens." If I have not developed the discipline of attentive listening, I can only perceive God's voice intermittently; at other times, I become preoccupied with many obligations, rendering myself impervious to Him, and I fail to embody the essence of a child’s life. Have I perceived the voice of God today?

Have you overlooked His statements? Was it Luke 11:13 or 1 Thessalonians 5:23? As we listen, our hearing becomes sensitive, and like Jesus, we shall perceive God continuously. Should I disclose to my "Eli" what God has revealed to me? This is where the quandary of obedience arises.

We defy God by assuming the role of amateur providences; I must protect "Eli," the finest individuals we know. God did not instruct Samuel to inform Eli; he had to make that decision alone. God's summons to you may cause distress to your "Eli," but attempting to avert misery in another's existence will create a barrier between your soul and God. Our statements may appear acceptable, yet our essence embodies that of an adversary. “He admonished them, stating, "You are unaware of the nature of the spirit you possess." Have I been persecuting Jesus via an ardent commitment to serve Him according to my own interpretation? If I believe I have fulfilled my obligation yet have caused Him harm in the process, I can be certain it was not my duty, as it has not nurtured a humble and tranquil spirit, but rather a one of self-satisfaction. We perceive that any unpleasantness is our obligation! Is that similar to the essence of our Lord: “I take pleasure in fulfilling Your will, O My God.”

Am I set on my own way for God? We are never free from this snare until we are brought into the experience of the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire. Obstinacy and self-will will always stab Jesus Christ. It may hurt no one else, but it wounds His Spirit. Whenever we are obstinate and self-willed and set upon our own ambitions, wea are hurting Jesus Every time we stand on our rights and insist that this is what we intend to do, we are persecuting Jesus.

Whenever we stand on our dignity we symmetrically vex and grieve His Spirit, and when the knowledge comes home that it is Jesus whom we have been persecuting all the time, it is the most crushing revelation there could be.’In the word of God tremendously keen to me as I hand it on to you, or does my life give the lie to the things I profess to teach? I may teach sanctification and yet exhibit the spirit of Satan, the spirit that persecutes Jesus Christ.

The Spirit of Jesus is conscious one thing only- a perfect oneness with the Father, and He says, “Learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart.” All I do ought to be founded on a perfect oneness with Him, not on a self-willed determination to be godly. This will mean that I can be easily put upon, easily over-reached, easily ignored; but if I submit to it for His sake, I prevent Jesus Christ being persecuted.

Do not concern yourself with your life. “Exercise caution regarding one aspect solely,” states our Lord, “your connection to Me.” Common reason emphatically asserts, "That is preposterous; I must contemplate my means of sustenance and what I shall consume." Jesus instructs that one must refrain from doing so. Exercise caution in assuming that this assertion originates from someone who lacks comprehension of our specific situation. Jesus Christ comprehends our situations more profoundly than we do, and He advises that we should not allow these matters to dominate our lives. In the presence of competition, prioritize your connection with God.

"The troubles of today are sufficient." What extent of malevolence has commenced to jeopardize you today? What type of malevolent entities have been observing and inquiring, "What will you do next month or this summer?" "Be anxious for nothing," states Jesus. Reevaluate and contemplate. Focus on the "much more" of your Heavenly Father.
